Encourages sustainable consumption practices
In every stage of textile and garment manufacturing, materials are lost along the way. These materials, known as post-industrial textile waste, are generated within factories and production units, long before a finished product reaches the consumer. At Khetan Group, we view this not as “waste,” but as an untapped resource with the potential to be transformed into sustainable new fibers, yarns, and fabrics.
Post-industrial waste refers to all textile by-products from manufacturing processes, including: Cutting Room Waste – Fabric off-cuts, trimmings, and scraps left over during garment cutting. Selvedge and Edge Trimmings – Side waste from weaving and knitting machines. Yarn Waste – Spinning fly, cone ends, and rejected yarn lots. Defective or Rejected Fabrics – Rolls with weaving faults, dyeing errors, or print mismatches. Deadstock / Surplus Stock – Unused or obsolete fabrics and samples stored in factories. Though these materials never make it into finished garments, they carry the same raw material value as virgin fibers—cotton, viscose, polyester, or blends.
Traditionally, post-industrial textile waste has been discarded, downcycled, or incinerated. This creates: Environmental Burden – Wasted Resources – Lost Value
Through our Fabric Recycling initiative, Khetan Group has developed processes to capture, sort, and recycle post-industrial textile waste into valuable raw material: Collection & Sorting – Fiber Recovery – Color Management – Recycled Yarn Production
For Khetan Group, post-industrial textile waste is not an end-product—it is the beginning of a circular journey. By recycling and reintroducing these materials into the textile value chain, we are helping to build a future where waste is minimized, resources are conserved, and fashion becomes truly sustainable.
We are closely working with major Brands & Buyers like Polaris, VV Enterprise, Alcocertex, Precisiontex, S. Vilarrasa etc.
